Setting up a Call
General
Setting up a call is an integral part of the remote assistance feature set of holo|one sphere. In addition to direct one-to-one calls, sphere also supports conference calling and calling users that are not sphere users through the guest calling functionality.
There are 4 main call tabs:
Recent Calls
Users Tab
Groups Tab
External Tab
In addition to these main call tabs, there is a special tab for setting up a conference call and for calling guest users by email.
Selecting a user opens a panel that contains more details about that user such as their email, skills, languages spoken and also contains the option to dial them. Users receiving an incoming call have the option to pick up or reject the call
Recent Calls Tab
The recent calls tab shows the history of calls made by the user. Users can view information about the call such as the creator, other participants, and the date and duration of the call. Calls can be searched based on the participant names
To make calling more convenient, users can simply click “Start Call” in order to start a session with the same participants as before, rather than having to set up the same participants manually. Additionally, clicking on the call participants directly provides a shortcut for calling that participant in a one-to-one call.
Users Tab
The users tab show displays the full list of users available for calling. Users can be searched based on display name.
Groups Tab
The groups tab shows the directory of groups that have been set up for the users organization. Each folder shows the list of users belonging to that particular group, as well as any nested sub-groups that might belong to it.
External Companies Tab
The external companies tab is for contacting users that do not belong to other holo|one sphere organizations that have been connected with your company - for example, an upstream OEM part supplier. Once the company is selected, the tab functions just like the groups tab.

Setup Call Tab
The setup call tab can be used to both setup a one-to-one call or also conference calls. In addition to the existing users, groups, and external tabs, a separate invited participants panel opens up alongside. When a user is clicked, instead of dialing that user directly, they are added to the call invite list.
Users can be added, removed, and searched for. Once all the desired users are added, both internal and external, you can start the call and wait for invited users to join.
