    • Added display of optional media thumbnails across the management portal and client applications.

  • Default 3D Content Library

    • Added a set of default stock 3D content for organizations, for example arrows, callouts, and special indicators. Stock content can only spawned on Mixed Reality clients. Link to Worklfows and usage in calls follows in 2.4.

  • Interaction (HoloLens 2 only)

    • “HoloLens 2”-style interaction available (cursor follows hand instead of head gaze)

    • HoloLens 2 native keyboard available

  • Extended Config-File

    • Ability to configure proxy URL, organization name (for Lenovo login) and preferred login method

  • Various bug fixes, performance improvements and optimizations

TASK/Workflows

  • Networked Workflows:

    • Multiple users are be able to work on a workflow simultaneously.

    • The current state of the workflow is synced in real-time with all users working on the workflow instance.

    • This includes:

      • Current answer once inputted (selected) for text input or media captured

      • Optional attachment input (only one user can input optional attachments at a time)

      • Step changes (e.g. moving from one step to the next)

      • Media attachment spawning and position

      • Step panel position

    • The synchronization also works between Lite and Mixed Reality users.

    • Information which user completed a step is added to the workflow reports.

  • Intermediate Workflow States

    • A workflow can be “paused” at any time, and the state is synced with the cloud.

    • Saved are:

      • Current step

      • All user inputs (incl. media)

      • All additional attachments

    • Because the state is synched with the cloud, any user that has access to the workflow can “resume” the workflow, continuing at the exact same step the workflow was paused.

    • This enables:

      • Same or another user can resume the workflow.

      • Workflow can be resumed on the same or another device.

      • Workflow can be resumed on both Lite and Mixed Reality app version.

  • Workflow Versioning

    • Added versioning for workflows with individually configurable visibility, publishing state, and content.

    • Workflows with multiple versions are automatically grouped in the Management Portal and overall search and filtering for workflows has been improved in the Portal.

  • Workflow Chaining

    • Added ability to specify a workflow that should be executed as the result of a step outcome (i.e. completion or branching).

    • When starting the execution of a new workflow, a report is automatically generated for the completed workflow.

  • Tagging Workflow Steps as important

    • Added functionality for uploading a single image that can be used for visually tagging workflow steps as important on application clients.

  • Device Type in Workflow Reports

    • The information on which user and device combination completed the steps in the workflow will be accessible in the reports.

EXPERT/Remote Assistance

  • Live Annotation (LITE)

    • Added functionality for quickly annotating the current video feed between LITE users and spawning the output as an image hologram.

  • Quality improvements

    • Improved battery life

Known Issues

  • Workflow snapshots that are made without any completed steps will not be loaded properly

  • When submitting a workflow rating, the stars rating is not synced between users, only the text feedback

  • LITE users that spawn workflow attachments during a networked task session with MR users will spawn the hologram independent of the workflow. It will not be automatically deleted when changing steps.

  • For ThinkReality A6 users, in rare cases the application may crash during workflow media capture while simultaneously in a remote expert call. In this case, users should save their progress as a snapshot to get out of the locked state.

  • HoloLens 2 users that have upgraded to OS version 20346.1002 will experience application crash when trying to capture a photo during an active remote expert call. This issue will be patched in a hotfix update as soon as possible.
